DSG is the trading name for D Stoker Group Ltd who have been meeting the motoring needs of Furness Peninsula, Lake District and Morecambe Bay areas since 1960. We remain a family owned and managed business with a passion for high levels of customer experience and service.

We now operate a single site on Ironworks Road in Barrow in Furness where we carry out warranty work as a Renault and Dacia Authorised Repairer along with all makes service and repair. Class IV and VII MOT facilities are available too.

We remain one of Renault’s longest serving partners having worked with them since 1960.

Deric Stoker started the business in 1960 and was joined by his son Iain when he turned 16 years old. Iain remains our Managing Director and in turn was joined in the business when his son Jonny turned 16. Jonny has looked after the sales operation for 25 years now and was joined by the fourth generation when his son Elliott started with the company in 2025. With three generations of the same family still working day to day within the business you can ensure a personable service and atmosphere that simply cannot be matched by some of the major dealer groups where systems and processes have to take priority. The Stoker family members along with a dedicated team of wonderful and committed staff throughout all areas of the business ensure you will still get the same service that was so important back in 1960 and has allowed the business to continue running some 66 years later.

Currently our business focuses on the Renault and Dacia Warranty Work along with the MOT offerings and all makes service and repair.

This is combined with an enviable reputation of stocking many hand picked pre owned vehicles from trusted suppliers and contacts from only days old with delivery mileage, exceptionally low mileage three year old cars and all in between. DSG Barrow will retail cars up to a maximum of eight years old if the mileage, service history and condition allow to ensure the cars are of maximum quality and fall into our ethos.

We see many dealers, often big dealer groups, sending out workaround videos where sales people are pointing out marks and damage throughout the interior and exterior of the vehicles to highlight these to prospective clients. DSG Barrow work with trusted highly skilled smart repairers and local bodywork specialists so if there is any minor cosmetic work this will all be done before delivery. We work with alloy wheel repair specialist who will refurb or re diamond cut alloys so the car you will drive away in will be like new in almost every possible way. DSG Barrow provide 12 months warranty and 12 months breakdown cover on all vehicles outside of manufacturers warranty.
